How to Care for Jewelry and Prayer Beads
I use stainless steal braided wire enclosed in plastic for stringing. Most findings are sterling silver. Beads are wood, gemstone, bone or glass. All respond to gentle cleaning with a soft cloth. Silver can be buffed with a special silver cloth. Glass and gemstones will tolerate a slightly dampened cloth.
All beads will benefit from being placed in a sunlit window for a few hours from time to time..
Do carry your Prayer beads in a pouch and do not subject them to harsh jostling.
Do not hang necklaces as the wire will eventually stretch from being hung.
Keep all jewelry in a box or pouch with a soft lining and do not subject the pieces to rubbing against other pieces of jewelry.
